Questions regarding the series
What is Atlantech?
It is a fictional series created by yours truly, set in the year 4000. It takes place long after the events of Robotech , so it's a fresh new story.
What was your inspiration for this series? Blasphemy! How dare you ask me such a question....
the inspiration was Robotech of course! And yes there were others too, such as the game Bioshock. That's how I came up with the idea of a jazz age cultured society.
But yes, my main inspiration was Robotech and of course the man behind it, Carl Macek!
Why Atlantech? Well ,why not? The story takes place in the city of Atlantis, and the technology itself was developed by a company called "Atlantech". I found it to be fitting, it's also known as Robotech 4000 too.
Are there any characters related to those from the original series?
I'd be a damned fool if there weren't! Yes, there's William and Alley Sterling, and it doesn't
take a genius to figure out who they're related to! D:
What about Admiral Grant, is he related to any of the originals?
Nope, just has the same last night, but there is no relation whatsoever.
Who are the villains? The Zyrian race, and Julius Morane.
What language do the Zyrians speak? They speak both english and Egyptian.
What is up with the crazy slang in your story? That would be the slang of the 20's, 30's and 40's! I thought it would be fun to incorporate it in there. I love old movies of those eras and find the slang very entertaining. A lot of the characters have New York accents, that even adds more to the fun.
Why the jazz age? Well, again why not? so many others have done futuristic environments to the death, that I decided I wanted to be original and do something different, which is also fun and unique. The jazz age style was the perfect theme for a sophisticated city like Atlantis.
Is Stan Winston a bad guy or good guy? He's both actually. But to put it better I'd say he just doesn't know any better, he's just confused. He does dirty work for Morane and the council and at the same time enjoys companionship with William Sterling and the others.
Why is Morane always hidden? Because he's a mysterious character. He is presented as a silhoutette because it adds to his creepy atmosphere. Morane sees himself as a god, and god cannot be seen, therefore it's the same with him.
Books and Thingamajiggers
Where can I buy your RPG book?
There's a link to it in my store.
Are you working on the webcomic adaption?
Yes, but it is a very time consuming project and I only have so much time to work on it.
I don't get paid for this you know ;] Anyways, there's a section which includes the latest pages.
And I do try to work on it as often as I can, but I'm also working on the written story too.
Any plans to publish the comic? Yes, I do have plans on doing that, but only when I get enough pages. Could take a long time before that happens, but we'll see. It just depends on how often I update it. I try to make the updates no longer than a week apart, but sometimes I have other things come up and I find myself working on those instead.
Do you sell art prints?
Yes, all art prints and other goodies are available in my shop.
I'm always updating it with new designs too.
